## Radio Waves Formula :

The formula to calculate the radio waves is given by,

**v _{r} = λv**

where,

v_{r→} speed,

λ→ wavelength, and

v →frequency of the radio wave.

## Sample Problems :

### Example 1 :

Calculate the speed of a radio wave having a wavelength of 290 m and a frequency of 2 MHz.

Solution :

We have,

λ = 290

v = 2 × 10^{6}

Using the formula we have,

v_{r} = λv

= 290 (2*10^{6})

= 5.8 × 10^{7} m/s.

### Example 2 :

Calculate the speed of a radio wave having a wavelength of 36 m and a frequency of 3 MHz.

### Solution :

We have,

λ = 36

v = 3 × 10^{6}

Using the formula we have,

v_{r} = λv

= 36 (3 × 10^{6})

= 10 × 10^{7} m/s.
