Change in momentum ∆M(kg-m/s) in kilogram meter per second  is equal to the product of the  mass of the object m(kg)  in kilogram is multibly by the velocity v(m/s)  in meter per second. Hence the momentum with velocity calculator formula has been written as,

∆M(kg-m/s)  = m(kg) v(m/s)

∆M→ change in momentum (kg-m/s)

M → mass of the object (kg)

V → velocity (m/s).

Example 1:

Calculate the value of momentum changed when mass and velocity are given?

Mass = 20 kg

Velocity =  40 m/s

Solution:

∆M = mv

∆M = 20*40

∆M = 800 kg-m/s.

Example 2:

Calculate the value of momentum changed when mass and velocity are given?

Mass = 30 kg

Velocity =  50 m/s

Solution:

∆M = mv

∆M = 30*50

∆M = 1500 kg-m/s.
