Inductive reactance X_{L(}_{Ω}_{ )} in ohm is equal to the product of the frequency f_{(Hz) } in hertz is multiply by the inductance of a coil L_{(H) }in henry. Hence the inductive reactance calculator formula has been written as,

X_{L(}_{Ω}_{ )} = 2π f_{(Hz)} L_{(H)}

Where,

X_{L} → inductive reactance in ohms

F →frequency in Hertz

L → inductance of a coil in Henries.

Calculate the inductive reactance of this circuit using inductive reactance formula? An inductor of 3H is connected to a circuit at a frequency of 60Hz.

### Solution :

F = 60 Hz

L = 3 H

X_{L } = 2π fL

X_{L }= 3 * 3.14 * 60 * 3

X_{L } = 1695.6 Ω.

### Example 2 :

Calculate the frequency does 3500 Mh inductor have 5 kΩ of reactance?

### Solution :

X_{L } = 5 kΩ = 5000 Ω

L = 3500 mH = 3.5 H

X_{L } = 2π fL

F = X_{L }/ 2πL

F = 5000 * 7 / (2*22*3.5)

F = 227.27 Hz.
