Inductive reactance XL( ) in ohm is equal to the product of the frequency f(Hz)  in hertz is multiply by the inductance of a coil L(H) in henry. Hence the inductive reactance calculator formula has been written as,

XL( ) = 2π f(Hz) L(H)

Where,

XL → inductive reactance in ohms

F →frequency in Hertz

L → inductance of a coil in Henries.

Example 1 :

Calculate the inductive reactance of this circuit using inductive reactance formula? An inductor of 3H is connected to a circuit at a frequency of 60Hz.

Solution :

F = 60 Hz

L = 3 H

XL  = 2π fL

XL = 3 * 3.14 * 60 * 3

XL  =  1695.6 Ω.

Example 2 :

Calculate the frequency does  3500 Mh inductor have 5 kΩ of reactance?

Solution :

XL  = 5 kΩ = 5000 Ω

L = 3500 mH = 3.5 H

XL  = 2π fL

F = XL / 2πL

F = 5000 * 7 / (2*22*3.5)

F = 227.27 Hz.
