### Ideal Transformer Equation:

Ideal transformer equation is the voltage at the secondary coil Vs_{(v)} in volts is equal to the voltage at the primary coil V_{p(v)} in volts and multiply the number of windings of the primary coil N_{s } and divided by the number of windings of the secondary coil Np.Hence the ideal transformer equation can be written as

Vs_{(v)}= V_{p(v)} * N_{s} /Np

Where

Vs= voltage at the secondary winding

Vp = voltage at the primary winding

Ns = number of windings of the primary winding

Np = number of windings of the secondary winding

There is a second equation that relates the turns ration of primary winding to secondary winding is equal to the ratio of secondary current to and primary currents. Hence

I_{s} / I_{p} = N_{p} /N_{s}

I_{s}=I_{p} *N_{p} /N_{s}

I_{s}(v)= voltage at secondary coil

I_{p}(v) =voltage at the primary coil

Electrical power through the primary coil and secondary coil are the same.

P=I_{p} * V_{p} = I_{s} * V_{s}

Calculate the ideal transformer secondary voltage? In a primary winding and secondary winding a transformer has 1500 turns, 1000 turns. If the primary voltage is 150v.

Given that

Transformer primary winding N_{p} =1500

Transformer secondary winding N_{s} =1000

Transformer primary voltage V_{p} =150v

Ideal transformer secondary voltage formula is V_{s} = V_{p} * N_{s} / N_{p}

V_{s} =150*1000/1500

V_{s} =150V

Therefore, the ideal transformer secondary voltage is 150 v

The primary winding, secondary winding of a transformer has 250 turns, 180 turns.If the primary voltage is 340v,Find the ideal transformer secondary voltage?

### Answer:

Given that

Transformer primary winding N_{p} =180

Transformer secondary winding N_{s} =250

Transformer primary voltage V_{p} =340v

Ideal transformer secondary voltage formula is V_{s} = V_{p} * N_{s} / N_{p}

V_{s} =340*250 / 180

V_{s} =472.2V

Therefore, the ideal transformer secondary voltage is 472.2 v
