### Capacitor Energy Formula :

Capacitor Energy formula is the energy E_{(j)} in joules is equal to the one divided by two and multiply the capacitance C_{(f)} in farad and multiply the voltage V^{2}_{(v)} in volts. Hence the capacitor Energy formula can be written as

E_{(j)}= ½ *C_{(f)} * V^{2}_{(v)}

If you want to estimate the Energy E-stored in a capacitor having capacitance c and Applied voltage then it is given by the equation

E=1/2 * C* V^{2}

You can rewrite this equation by applying the bastic capacitance formula

C= Q * v

To get the other analogous form of capacitance equation i.e E=1/2 * Q^{2} / c

Or E=1/2 * Q *V

Calculate the energy stored in it? In a capacitance of a capacitor is 80 F charged to potential of 250 v.

Given that

Capacitance = 80 F

Applied voltage = 250V

We know the formula for Energy stored E = ½ * c * V^{2}

E= ½ * 80 *20^{2}

E=16000.0 joules

Calculate the energy stored in it? In a capacitance of a capacitor is 75 F charged to potential of 98 v.

Given that

Capacitance = 75 F

Applied voltage = 98 V

We know the formula for Energy stored E = ½ * c * V^{2}

E= ½ * 75 *98^{2}

E=360150.0 joules
