Radius r =2.5m

Since it is a solid cylinder, Moment of Inertia

I=m*r^{2}/2

I=400*2.5*2.5/2

I=1250kg m^{2}

The angular momentum is given by L=l*ω

L=1250*50

L=62500Kg m^{2}/s

## Sum2 :

Calculate the angular momentum of the cylinder about its axis? In a solid cylinder of mass 600 kg rotates about its axis with an angular speed of 80ms^{-1}. If the radius of the cylinder is 4.8m.

Given Mass M=600kg,

Angular speedω=80ms^{-1}

Radius r =4.8m

Since it is a solid cylinder, Moment of Inertia

I=m*r^{2}/2

I=600*4.8*4.8/2

I=6912kg m^{2}

The angular momentum is given by L=l* ω

L=6912*80
